Settling into bed last night I was extremely excited to set my alarm for a 5:30AM wake up. Some of you are probably scratching your head asking why. This morning was “River Run Tuesday” a small group run that meets at Confluence Running in Binghamton at 6:30AM and runs along the Chenango River northward. This has to be one of my favorite routes to run because you actually get to enjoy the Susquehanna River as you traverse the Washington Street bridge before entering the “River Walk” which then parallels the Chenango River. Today there were eight of us with some running 4 miles and some running 6 miles. I ran the 6 mile loop that takes you off the River Walk near Cheri Lindsey Park onto Chenango Street and into Otsiningo Park and around a small pond returning via reverse route. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/946238205
Fall is truly my favorite time to get out early and enjoy the clean crisp air, the beautiful pinks, oranges and purples of sunrise, this morning did not disappoint.
After finishing our run I went right to our local voting location and cast my ballot, truly American I must say.
And lastly for the first time I ground my own coffee which I am sipping while writing this. My friends I raise my coffee mug to you and salute your daily grind.
