Good evening folks its Sunday and most of us have to start another week in the trenches at work. This weekend has been a blast to say the least. Yesterday I turned 42 years old and spent the evening with my family chowing down on some smoked ribs at the California Grill in Vestal, New York. Then it was off to Antonio’s Galleria Cafe in Endicott, New York for some chocolate peanut butter gelato. While on our way home my wife gets a text from friends who just showed up to Antonio’s wanting to know if we wanted to meet for a birthday beverage. A quick shove of the kids from the car back home and off we went. Their mocha latte and biscotti are spectacular….
Today myself and a crew of friends made our way from Binghamton, New York to Cooperstown in order to partake in the Habitat for Humanity Brewery to Brewery 5K. With a shotgun time of 11:30 and I do mean shotgun. The race began at Ommengang Brewery http://www.ommegang.com ending at Cooperstown Brewery https://www.facebook.com/CooperstownBrewingCompany?fref=ts. Prior to the race we did a 9 mile warm up run and with the race finally under way I myself ran the 3.25 mile rolling course in 21:52.
After indulging in the free beer and yogurt at Cooperstown Brewery and some scrumptious homemade cupcakes our friend Sue made we made our way back to Ommegang for some well deserved food and beer.
All in all I had a wonderful weekend with family and friends.
